  • 28 ounces frozen cubed O'Brien potatoes, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups finely crushed potato chips
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen cubed O'Brien potatoes in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed potatoes, garlic salt, pepper, onion flakes, chives, and cheddar cheese.
  4. Stir in the cream of chicken soup and sour cream until well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes or until bubbly.
  7. Remove foil and sprinkle crushed potato chips on top; drizzle melted butter over the chips.
  8. Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional minute while watching closely.
  10. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
