  • 25 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 ½ cups Italian seasoned Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Spaghetti (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray and spread the marinara sauce on the bottom.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together egg and milk; season with salt and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, mix Panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, oregano, and basil.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Dip chicken in the egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Brown each chicken breast in the skillet until golden but not fully cooked.
  6. Place browned chicken in the slow cooker on top of marinara sauce. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. About 10-15 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top to melt.
  8. Serve over spaghetti or as desired.
