  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into 2-inch pieces and place them in a bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Reserve ¼ cup for later.
  3. Marinate the chicken with the remaining sauce for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Cook chicken in a single layer for 8 minutes; flip and cook for another 8 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  5. In a saucepan, combine reserved marinade with water and cornstarch; whisk over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Baste cooked chicken with thickened sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
