  • ½ Yellow Onion (sliced)
  • 2 Bell Peppers (sliced)
  • 1 Celery Stalk (diced)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun Seasoning
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Chicken Bouillon Powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by massaging olive oil into both sides and seasoning with onion powder, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, and paprika.
  2. In a hot skillet, sear the seasoned chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes per side until cooked through (165°F internal temperature). Remove from skillet and lower heat.
  3. Sauté sliced vegetables in butter until softened. Stir in flour to form a roux and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth; add bouillon powder and Cajun seasoning.
  5. Shred cooked chicken and return to skillet with gravy. Simmer until desired thickness is achieved.
