  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup minced yellow onion
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (diced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
  3. Shape about 1½ tablespoons of the mixture into a ball; insert a piece of mozzarella into the center and seal it.
  4. Place meatballs on the baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  6. In a saucepan, heat marinara sauce and add baked meatballs until warmed through.
  7. Serve meatballs over spaghetti noodles drizzled with extra marinara sauce.
