  • 8 ounces linguine pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt before cooking the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté shrimp seasoned with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until pink (2-3 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Reduce heat; stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and fold in cooked linguine until well coated.
