  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon strawberry extract
  • 15 drops red or pink liquid food coloring
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 20 Golden Oreos
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) strawberry Jello powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crunch topping by crushing Golden Oreos and mixing them with melted butter and strawberry Jello powder until well combined. Spread it onto a plate.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in strawberry extract and food coloring.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and coat them in the prepared crunch topping.
  6. Place on a baking sheet two inches apart and bake for about 8 minutes. Add more topping on warm cookies before baking for an additional 4 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.
