  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3/4 cup cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and refrigerate until ready to use.

  7. Pat the dough to about 3/4 – 1 inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a cutter.
  8. Place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush warm biscuits with melted butter before serving.
