  • 1 pound chicken Chicken Italian sausage
  • 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 30 ounces kidney beans (drained)
  • 15 ounces pinto beans (drained)
  • 29 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • Various spices including chili powder and cumin

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and chicken sausage until mostly cooked.
  2. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic; cook until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
  4. Add kidney beans and pinto beans to the slow cooker.
  5. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, hot sauce, and all seasonings.
