Instructions

  1. Activate yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar; let it sit until bubbly.
  2. Combine activated yeast with browned butter, egg, dry milk powder, salt, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5–10 minutes until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar with ground cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread with browned butter and sprinkle filling mixture evenly.
  6. Roll tightly from one long edge; cut into equal pieces (1–2 inches wide).
  7. Place rolls on a greased baking sheet lined with parchment paper; cover and let rise again until puffy (about another hour).
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25–27 minutes until lightly golden brown.
