  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apples (100 g)
  • ½ cup toasted pecan pieces (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast the pecans in a small pan over medium heat for about 3–5 minutes until fragrant. Set aside to cool.
  3. Peel, core, and chop apples into small chunks.
  4. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add the egg and mix until fluffy.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon into the bowl; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped apples and toasted pecans.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined 8×8 baking dish and bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown.
