  • ½ cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 8 lasagna noodles (not no boil)
  • 25-ounce jar marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley (if desired, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Sauté chopped onion in olive oil until softened.
  2. Add lean ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned; drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Prepare for layering by removing part of the meat mixture and adding water to deglaze.
  5. Layer noodles, meat mixture, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese as directed.
  6. Cover with marinara sauce and pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Release pressure, let rest briefly, then serve topped with additional mozzarella if desired.
