  • 1 pound ground beef blend (60% ground chuck, 40% ground brisket)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 potato burger buns
  • Salt and pepper
  • American cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Pickles
  • Chopped white onion

Instructions

  1. Form the ground beef into loose 2-inch balls (about ¼ pound each) and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat your cast iron skillet over medium heat and brush with canola oil until shimmering.
  3. Melt butter in the skillet and toast the potato buns cut side down until golden brown; set aside.
