  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean)
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • Buns (with optional butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef and Italian seasoning. Shape into patties and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat the grill to high heat; then reduce to medium-high. Cook patties for about 3 minutes on each side until desired doneness.
  3. While grilling, mix butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Spread on buns and toast them on the grill until they have grill marks.
  4. Assemble burgers by placing cooked patties on bun bottoms, topping with ricotta cheese, spaghetti sauce, and mozzarella. Cap with the other half of the bun.
