  • 2 cans cinnamon rolls
  • 4 large apples (peeled and diced)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼1/3 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray an 8 x 8 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well-coated.
  3. Cut each cinnamon roll into ¼ inch slices and roll them out on a floured surface.
  4. Line the bottom and sides of the baking dish with flattened cinnamon rolls.
  5. Layer half of the apple mixture over the cinnamon rolls, then drizzle with caramel sauce. Add another layer of flattened cinnamon rolls on top.
  6. Repeat the layering process with remaining apples and caramel sauce before finishing with any leftover cinnamon rolls.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before drizzling with icing from the cinnamon rolls.
